UKFT’s Let’s Make It Here is a free-to-use database to help designers, brands and retailers find a UK manufacturer of fashion or textiles.

Let’s Make It Here is an initiative from the UK Fashion & Textile Association: the most inclusive British network for fashion and textile companies.

UKFT brings together designers, manufacturers, agents and retailers to promote their businesses and our industry in the UK and throughout the world. UKFT is in a unique position, representing businesses from spinning, weaving and knitting, right through to catwalk and garment care.

UK manufacturing is enjoying a great renaissance, responding to a growing domestic demand for speed and convenience as well as increasing interest from international consumers looking for quality UK-made product or a distinctly British look for their collections. Today’s industry is vibrant and innovative, creating growth, jobs and opportunity. This diverse sector produces high-quality products used in hospitals, cars, international catwalks and the high street.

Let’s Make It Here is part of UKFT’s work to support the continued growth of Made in UK and all of the benefits it brings. UKFT is grateful for the support of the Department for International Trade and CapitB to bring this free to use resource to the industry.

The UK is home to a diverse range of businesses producing fashion and textiles, from heritage manufacturers fusing artisan techniques with the latest technology through to cutting-edge technical textile producers and high-end designer manufacturing specialists. This directory has been developed to make these businesses easier to find.

Let’s Make it Here is a free-to-use resource for anyone, in the UK or overseas, looking to source UK production. 

If you are a designer, brand or retailer you can search the database to find UK companies who can produce for you to your specifications; who can provide services such as pattern cutting, grading and printing or who supply quality components such as buttons or interlinings.

If you are a UK manufacturer you can list your business on the directory to help you promote your business to the industry.
